Who is the client?

This is a new client to EFAFLEX who had a roller shutter in situ at their Swindon facility. They have a large fleet of cars and vans for hire, and provide storage for home removals, and haulage services.

They researched high-speed doors and got in touch to discuss how they could upgrade from a conventional roller shutter to a faster, more durable alternative.

The client supplied the brief and EFAFLEX specified a SST-260 as the perfect solution to replace the slower, less insulated, less secure, roller shutter to help secure and improve their facility.

The EFA-SST is a high-speed spiral door that represents a new generation of industrial doors, delivering on all fronts; insulation, energy- saving, functionality, and state of the art technology.

It is ideal as an exterior door, that requires fast opening and closing speeds (2.5m/s and 1.0m/s respectively), and capable of up to 250,000 operating cycles per year.

Designed using transparent vision laths, this product not only provides a clear line of sight for operatives to minimise the risk of workplace incidents, but also enables daylight to improve the environment too!

Were there any specific requirements from this project?

This was a relativley straight forward replacement project, with some preparation works needed to ensure a tight fit to the top and sides of the door. Working as a team, the project was delivered from design, build, through to installation with ease.
