Who is the client?
This is a new customer to EFAFLEX UK, who became aware of our products when researching to replace and upgrade their existing conventional sectional doors.
The client manufactures high-performance plates, rods and tubes using over 100 different types of plastics from their South Wales facility, supplying across industries including aerospace, food, mechanical, and the medical sectors.
Similar to EFAFLEX, they are a family run business, who pioneer in energy efficiency and the circular economy, making it no surprise that they valued our ethos, aims, and morals.
What fast action warehouse door did they choose?
Having completed a site survey in October 2022, conducted by our experienced regional Business Development Manager, three SST 238 high-speed spiral doors were deemed the most suitable replacement for the existing sectional doors. The client was looking to upgrade to a superior product, that was faster, safer, and more energy efficient, and so the SST was chosen for its build quality, performance, and durability.

The SST is an ideal solution for warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics operations. Its speed of opening and closing, combined with the build quality and insulation properties all link to deliver improved safety, and energy saving benefits to the client.
What are the key benefits of this specific door?
Specifically, the SST features transparent laths, positioned here at eye level to increase visibility both sides of the door, making for safer operations, while allowing natural daylight to enhance the work environment. The insulation properties of the laths reduce the risk of drafts and gaps to improve energy efficiency by as much as 50% with similar impacts expected to operational efficiencies.
The SST represents a next generation in industrial doors and an ideal replacement for conventional overhead shutters, or older roller shutter doors, by offering perfect insulation, energy efficient functionality and modern aesthetics.
Were there any specific requirements from this project?
This installation was a straightforward project with the sales and engineering team working in tandem to deliver an exceptional customer experience, with further orders to hopefully follow. A special thank you to our colleagues from Europe who assisted on this project.
