Household Manufacturer
High Speed Industrial Door Case Study

Location: South Wales
Sector: Manufacturing
Products Used: SRT 271 Premium

Who is the client?

This is a client that is familiar with EFAFLEX and already has our high-speed doors in action at their South Wales facility.

The client has five household brands within their Group, which harness and release the natural power of stone to enrich modern living; you would be familiar with their insulation products for sure.

What fast action warehouse door did they choose?

Our local Business Development Manager returned to the facility in July 2023, to hold a detailed discussion and fully understand the needs of this particular application. The client had an existing high-speed door in situ, positioned above a conveyor belt, which created a wind tunnel effect blowing into their factory. They needed a fully functioning high-speed door, capable of fast opening and closing speeds in order to minimise the ‘keep open’ time in this busy working environment.

The SRT 271 Premium is ideal for this application. As a heavy-duty high-speed roll-up door, it is a great all-rounder, and available in sizes up to 6,000mm x 6,000mm.

What benefits will this high -speed industrial warehouse deliver?

The SRT Premium can be used as an internal door, or as an additional hall closure, and available in either galvanised steel or stainless steel, with a range of curtain options and colours.

What are the key benefits of this specific door?

The SRT roll-up door is characterised by its long-lasting operation (capable of up to 150,000 operating cycles per year), and ease of maintenance, making it ideal for this busy conveyor location.

The SRT at a glance;

  • Heavy-duty inside door
  • Opening up to 2.0 m/s
  • Closing up to 0.75 m/s
  • Up to 150,000 operating cycles p.a.
  • Standard sizes up to w=6,000 mm, h=6,000 mm
  • Clean room version available
  • Hygiene version available

Were there any specific requirements from this project?

The SRT roll – up is being used here within a conveyor location, and is often chosen for logistics, and handling facilities to safeguard users, reduce energy consumption and speed up logistics. This was a straight forward installation where the team all worked together seamlessly for a great end result.
