Who is the client?

This is a UK based, prestigious, luxury car manufacturer based in Crewe who has been a client and advocate of EFAFLEX for over 15 years. They have a rich heritage, and built a brand that is synonymous with quality, design, and precision engineering; traits that mirror those of EFAFLEX.

They employ around 4,000 staff who handcraft and market bespoke automobiles.

This project was part of a new build facility and completed in June 2024. Although they had used EFAFLEX previously, we treat all customers alike and give them equal care, attention and high quality customer service, as you would expect in a competitive commercial market.

What fast action industrial doors did they choose?

This project involved various locations around the site, each with their own requirement. Some locations were internal, while other door solutions were needed for external use.

Having completed a site survey in April 2024, our Key Account Manager recommended the SRT-ECO and SST-ECO.

The SRT-ECO is a fabric roll-up high speed door; ideal for warehouse and manufacturing applications. Featuring a transparent vision panel, it is perfect for busy environments to reduce the risk of workplace incidents, providing a clear line of site to operatives both sides of the curtain.

The SST-ECO on the other hand, delivers where insulation, and energy efficiency are key; ideal for a more modern generation of industrial doors.

What benefits will this fast action door deliver?

The SRT-ECO operates at speed; circa 2 metres per second opening, and 1 metre per second closing to minimise ‘keep open’ times for significant energy cost savings in high traffic areas.

Manufactured from high quality materials, it won’t bow or gap around the edges to provide an effective seal.

Meanwhile the SST-ECO has the highest wind load capacity, and capable of up to 200,000 operating cycles per year; well above average, to increase flow of traffic and minimise downtime or wait times.

What are the key benefits of this specific door?

Both door options will help speed up logistics with their fast action. In addition, they will significantly reduce energy consumption (heating / cooling costs) with their faster than average operating speeds. Built to perform, with a service life of over 20 years both doors will undoubtedly quickly become an asset to this client.

Were there any specific requirements from this project?

We are well versed with the needs of this client, having nurtured a long-term relationship built on trust and reliability.

This project was similar to other installations we have fulfilled for this client, and quite typical of others we have within the automotive manufacturing industry.
