Who is the client?

Burts Snacks Limited was conceived following a trip to America in 1995 where the founders discovered the potato chip. Today they specialise in using the right ingredients and supporting the local communities to produce their bags of crisps, lentil chips, ridges, and popcorn.

They have been a returning customer for over 10 years having initially met us at a trade exhibition. This project was to replace an existing EFAFLEX warehouse industrial door that has been in operation since 2006 at their Devon facility.

What fast action warehouse door did they choose?

The door in situ was a SRT (high speed roll-up fabric door). This has been in operation in the busy warehouse facility since 2006. Due to the high wind pressure within the facility, the client chose to upgrade to a STR (high speed spiral door). This is a turbo equivalent that can open at speeds of up to 4m/s and withstand the highest wind load capacity.

What benefits will this high -speed industrial warehouse deliver?

The STR is ideal for either interior or exterior locations. Its spiral opening blade is our fastest industrial door, operating at speeds of up to 4m/s and closing at up to 1m/s.

It is the perfect choice for busy warehouse or logistics areas where speed and safety are essential.

What are the key benefits of this specific door?

The vision window positioned at eye level increases the line of sight for both workers and forklift operatives to ensure optimal traffic flow and minimise the risk of accidents.

Were there any specific requirements from this project?

This was an uncomplicated project where our team worked to ensure complete customer satisfaction, from design, delivery, installation, and handover, with a maintenance contract in place to ensure longevity and performance for years to come.
