Who is the client?

This is a recent project completion for an existing customer where we have forged a relationship over the last 6 – 7 years. Based in Bedford they specialise within the beverage industry. They are world renowned for the bottling, production, and distribution of their alcoholic, flavoured water, and coffee drinks, with a heritage that dates to the 1870’s.

The company incorporates over 25 brands of beer, operating from over 133 countries and across 16 global bottling and production plants.

Production continuity, user safety, and product performance are vital, as downtimes and disruptions for this busy producer would be costly.

What fast action industrial doors did they choose?

The client was already familiar with the concept of industrial high-speed doors but wanted to replace an existing door in situ for an alternative that was proven to perform and backed by a high level after sales service.

Having completed a site survey, our regional Business Development Manager recommended the STR industrial high -speed door for this particular application. This product operates at speed and designed to deliver an exceptional price performance ratio, and especially beneficial for indoor locations.

What benefits will this fast action door deliver?

The STR is a great all-rounder and ideal as an exterior or interior door such as an extra measure for closing large halls. It is highly versatile, combining a roll-up fabric curtain, and here with a vision window ideal for busy high-traffic areas to increase user safety.

They are easy to maintain compared to manual roll-up doors, using automatic opening, and closing for swift operation to minimise exposure and ‘keep open’ time.

What are the key benefits of this specific door?

The STR is designed for industrial manufacturing environments; combining speed, performance, and safety.

The ‘see through’ panel positioned at eye level within the roll-up door blade adds a level of user safety in busy high traffic areas. It’s fast action opening and closing significantly minimises heat loss and the risk of ingress contamination.

Were there any specific requirements from this project?

This was a straightforward design and installation project for the EFAFLEX UK team; quite typical of around 60% of our projects where customers have chosen to replace older, slower, less efficient doors with our high-speed alternative.

We look forward to returning to site in the future to view this door’s performance.
