Bakery Case
High-Speed Roll Up Fabric Door
Case Study
Client: A bakery specialising in gluten free products
Location: Pontypool, South Wales
Sector: Food
Products Used: 1 x SRT 274 ECO
This is a new client to EFAFLEX and the installation follows a site visit completed in March 2022. They are part of a larger Group of companies, and specialise in crafting and baking premium gluten-free products. They supply artisan bread to the UK retail and sandwich market.
We were asked to assist at their facility in Pontypool, where the production facility was virtually open plan and constructed using a free standing wall.
The client wanted to insert a divide and demarcate the production zones. Often our high-speed warehouse doors are used to create zones or work areas, that also act to improve air quality and reduce cross contamination. A SRT ECO (high-speed roll-up fabric door) was recommended using hard wearing transilon fabric due to its perfect blend of cost, design and functionality. They are extremely economical and ideal for indoor use. Their fast opening and closing speeds help to insulate noise, and keep temperature zones constant. They are virtually maintenance-free and capable of up to 150,000 operating cycles per year, making them ideal for this particular client application.
A push button activation was used, complemented with presence and safety sensors for optimum user safety.
Once again the EFAFLEX installation team worked together in order to deliver an exceptional customer experience, with more EFAFLEX industrial high-speed doors are already being quoted.
The client will benefit from our after-sales service as a maintenance contract holder to ensure the warehouse high-speed door remains in full working order and reduce the risk of costly downtime.
