This installation was completed via the client’s contractor as part of a much larger refurbishment project at their manufacturing facility near Preston. The client has been a specialist manufacturer within the health and beauty industry since 1970, and has 125 global brands within its portfolio. They thrive on innovation and, similar to EFAFLEX, support global customers by developing new solutions for complex needs.
As with EFAFLEX, they too have a team of experts who develop and research, creating outstanding products within their field of specialism. Here we were part of a refurbishment to facilitate workflow and logistics at their busy operational site.
What fast action industrial doors did they choose?
We have been supplying this customer with high-speed door solutions for more than 10 years as part of their Group in the UK. Having completed a comprehensive site survey in summer 2024, our regional Business Development Manager recommended two door types for specific applications across the facility.
The first is our SRT-ECO. This is a fabric curtain roll-up door, ideal for interior use and a perfect all-round performer, tailored to their needs.
The other is our SST-S Eco door; one of our new generation high-speed spiral doors which is ideal for energy-efficient functionality, state of the art technology and its durability.
What benefits will this fast action door deliver?
The client had very specific needs that are common within the health and beauty industry. ISO Class 7 and 8 environments help prevent contamination by airborne particles or bacteria. Air quality is paramount, with ISO Class 7 allowing up to 352,000 particles (0.5 microns) per cubic metre and requiring 30 to 60 air changes per hour. This is most widely seen in cleanroom facilities. ISO Class 8, by comparison, allows up to 3,520,000 particles (0.5 microns) per cubic metre.
