Reduce Project Complexity With Our Next Generation Door

Specifying industrial doors for a major project can feel complicated, with different curtain types to choose from, potential incompatible frames and long lead times for parts all being common issues. However, the EFAFLEX Next Generation high speed door range is designed to remove such friction points from the project management process.

EFAFLEX have over 50 years of expertise in industrial doors, our level of experience means that we are able to give project teams a single, clear process that suits almost any requirement without additional project complexity.

One Frame With Multiple Options

Our experience is ‘baked’ into the architecture of the Next Generation door range, it was designed to be straightforward. Every model utilises the same door substructure, which is compatible with our four different curtain types, with three equipment levels, Premium, Eco or Basic to choose from.

The four curtain options are:

  • EFA-SST Therm - thermally insulated for temperature-controlled facilities
  • EFA-SST Alux – double wall aluminium construction for high level industrial use
  • EFA-STT Clear – 70% transparent acrylic glass panels for light & visibility
  • EFA-STR Flex – malleable PVC curtain for a range of high traffic openings

Our unique door construction model means that one specification process can cover a wide range of site conditions, simplifying procurement at sourcing, at point of purchase and throughout the lifecycle.

Fewer Moving Parts With Less Wear

The door spiral mechanism that holds the curtain is compact, which also saves space as it isn’t wound on a bulky shaft, allowing for fitting into tighter openings. With less moving parts in the mechanism, wear is minimised, allowing service intervals to be optimised. This is crucial when a door is capable of running for up to 500,000 cycles per year and opening at speeds of up to 5 meters per second.

Standardised parts across the range make a positive impact on long term maintenance. Repairs are also simpler to carry out, replacement parts are quicker to identify and source and the total cost of maintenance over the door's lifetime is reduced.

Safety & Diagnostics Built In

The premium models we offer include the EFA-TLG door line light grid for obstacle detection and spring break detection in both frames. These are vital for protecting people, products and equipment. The frames also feature pivotable covers, which make access easy and allow for full safety with manual opening as standard.

For smooth operations, the EFA-SmartConnect system gives owners remote diagnostics. Our in-house technicians can monitor performance data and respond to issues quickly, which reduces downtime before it becomes a real operational disruption.

Simple To Specify & Certify

The entire Next Generation door range comes with documentation that satisfies building certification, insurance policies, compliance and life cycle assessments. EFAFLEX also offer security add on packages, with custom requests accommodated if needed.

For project teams working in a BIM setting, EFAFLEX provides customers with full BIMs in Revit, ArchiCAD and AutoCAD formats. Technical specifications are also included to make it straightforward to integrate the door into your project model from the very beginning.
