This client operates within the food industry and has been manufacturing and supplying quality poultry products to some of the key supermarkets and manufacturers in the UK since 1972. As a family-owned business, they are dedicated to innovation, sustainability and, importantly to their many customers, taste.
They pride themselves on a unique ability to adapt to the ever-changing demands of their consumers, delivering a superior product as a result. As another family-run business, similar to EFAFLEX, many of their staff have been long-serving members of the team.
They first met EFAFLEX UK at the Foodex trade show in 2022.
What fast action industrial doors did they choose?
We have supplied several EFAFLEX high-speed doors to this client across their Frodsham facility. These include replacing old roller shutters supplied by other manufacturers, as well as a recent warehouse refurbishment.
Innovation is key to this client, who have recently developed an air fryer range alongside their ‘ready to go’ products to adapt to their consumers’ needs.
Products supplied include our SST-L Eco in a corridor that joins the warehouse to the chilled manufacturing area. We have also supplied SRT-ECO and SRT-EC (easy clean) fabric roll-up doors in their manufacturing and wash-down areas.
What benefits will this fast action door deliver?
Hygiene within food production facilities is paramount, especially when dealing with fresh poultry where there is a risk of contamination.
In this instance the SRT-EC is a perfect example of integrated design and engineering; a product intended for such food application environments and built to withstand frequent, intensive use. It is simple to wash down, maintaining hygiene requirements and long-term reliability. It delivers on speed, durability and hygiene, without corrosion or costly downtime.
What are the key benefits of this specific door?
We replaced an old, slow-activating roller shutter with an EFAFLEX SST-PS door, which incorporates solid door laths with five transparent laths that allow daylight into the warehouse pre-pack area.
Were there any specific requirements from this project?
The client chose EFAFLEX not purely for our door designs, which suit this specific application, but also due to the high level of post-sales service we offer as part of our total care package — each element of which, like our doors, is tailored to the individual customer’s needs.
This is a well-known customer to EFAFLEX as a result of many projects completed over several years. We are familiar with their site, and our team work well to ensure each project runs smoothly with minimal disruption to operations or downtime at this busy facility.
