Fast Action
Who is the client?
This is a new customer to EFAFLEX who researched high-speed options and then saw the doors demonstrated at one of our trade shows. Being able to view our doors in motion; to witness their speed and feel the build quality significantly helped this customer to reach a buying decision.
The client operates within the food industry, as a supplier of quality British beef to the food industry wholesalers and retailers across the UK and internationally.
What fast action industrial doors did they choose?
Following a site survey in January 2024 by our local Business Development Manager, the decision was reached to install a SRT-ECO roll-up high-speed door, replacing their existing strip curtain system.
The SRT-ECO offers significant price-performance ratio, for interior applications combining opening speeds and durability to reduce ‘keep on’ time in busy work environments.
What benefits will this fast action door deliver?
The client was using a strip curtain system, which is not unusual for us to be replacing. Here the users must manually push the strips to gain access, and contamination can be problematical, with the curtain becoming dirty and unhygienic.
Instead, the SRT-ECO is fully automatic. Opening and closing at high speeds and capable of up to 150,000 operating cycles per year which reduces the exposure and keep open time as well as improving hygiene by removing direct contact.
What are the key benefits of this specific door?
With opening speeds of up to 2 metres per second, the SRT-ECO is ideal for many industrial applications. Featuring transparent panels, visibility is enhanced to reduce the likelihood of workplace incidents in busy environments where logistic downtimes would be costly.
Were there any specific requirements from this project?
Due to the nature of the project with livestock being moved around the facility, the door installation was completed at nighttime to minimise impact within this busy environment.
The client has already begun to enjoy the many benefits that a high-speed door delivers with the opportunity for further projects in the near future.
