Who is the client?

This an existing customer who has been used to the many EFAFLEX features and benefits for four years. The client is an agricultural manufacturer based in the East of Scotland, growing, and processing a variety of vegetables. They have recently merged with another vegetable grower to give them a combined area of more than 2,400ha and one million cubic feet of cold storage.

What fast action industrial doors did they choose?

Having completed a site survey in December 2023, the client chose the SST-L Oval Spiral design EFAFLEX door as part of a refurbishment to an existing building. Operating within the food processing sector, hygiene and air quality is of particular interest to ensure produce doesn’t become contaminated. The Oval Spiral is ideal for environments of low, or confined head room, where the door blade winds onto an oval rather than circular shaft, requiring less available height.

Opening at speeds up to 2.5 metres per second, and closing at up to 1 metre per second, the SST will significantly reduce keep open time, and exposure to the elements; ideal for this scenario where hygiene, and contamination limitation are of utmost importance.

Capable of up to 250,000 operating cycles per year, the SST will ensure smooth process and logistics at this busy facility.
